Why do some men turn my stomach to mush?

I was character shopping recently... this is when we authors day dream about settings, characters, clothes... The important details that make up a story. And like I usually do, I started my shopping by looking for a hunky fellow. There's something about having a picture that helps me write.

What I want to know is, why are some men just so damn gorgeous? Why do some, just a picture, turn my stomach to mush?
