Picking a book (Poll)

Two things happen when I buy a book. a) I already know the author. In this case, I will pick up everything by him or her and read everything in their library, good or bad. b) If it's a new author, that's a whole 'nother story. 99% of the time, I read the blurb and that's about it. If it resonates with me, I'll buy the book and hope for the best.

It's a skosh different with ebooks, though, isn't it? The gorgeous cover art, intriguing titles, reputation of the publisher...all of these things help me decide what books to purchase. So now I want to hear from you about how you purchase books. My reasons for asking are a little selfish -- I'd like to know if I should spend a little more time on the title or the blurb, for example. Secondly, I also want to try out this poll gadget-thingy. :D

You only get one choice -- and I know that's unfair, because that's not how it works in real life. Just humor me. Please. :)
